QA Manager

Full-Time Role

$105k - $130k

Are you an experienced leader with a passion for QA in a science-heavy environment? This may be the job for you. The QA manager will support the development of software applications and is an interactive member of a scrum team.

This person will be accountable for the preparation of test plans, functional test cases, and regression tests scripts as well as test execution and results analysis.

Located in Boulder, CO, the organization focuses on research and understanding of climate change, land-use and impact of invasive species on ecology.

Required Experience

- 5+ years in an SDLC leadership role, preferably in a Java environment

- 3+ years of management experience of software testers

- 3+ years of solid QA testing experience - both manual and automation

- Expert w/ SQL databases

- Proficient w/ Configuration Management Tools such as SVN, RTC/Jazz or GitHub/Sass

Job Functions:

- Lead the Software Quality Assurance team in supporting the testing of scientific and business-related software

- Lead in the analysis, test planning, procedure development and execution of software testing

- Act as an active member of the Agile/Scrum Team

- Ensure scheduled testing is completed accurately and on time

Preferred:

- Experience in Geospatial industry

- Experience working with scientists or geologist engineers
