Revenue and Billing Accountant

Location: Bethesda, Maryland

JOB FUNCTION

The Revenue and Billing Accountant will play an important role in the day to day revenue processes, creates journal entries, reconciles accounts, and other duties as assigned for a fast paced rapidly growing technology company. This role is very hands-on position.

The Revenue and Billing Accountant must be able to collaboratively work with both revenue team and business operation group.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

Completion of monthly customer invoicing, billing and revenue schedules for designated business lines.

Provide assistance in cash collections and meeting targets

Assist in maintaining contract management database

Provide assistance with internal and external audit requirements as needed

Assist in special projects within finance departments.

QUALIFICATIONS

BS in Accounting or related field or equivalent experience

CPA or CPA candidate

Have excellent analytical skills and be able to perform complex reconciliations

At least basic Excel skills, preferably able to work with Pivot Tables and vLookup

Knowledge of Microsoft Navision and Jet reports a plus

Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, and the ability to effectively interact with senior management and individuals with varying degrees of financial
knowledge;

Good planning and organizational skills to balance and prioritize work
