DevOps Engineer

Key Roles and Responsibilities:

Gain and utilize deep understanding of the business flows

Drive Continuous Integration/Continuous Delivery (DevOps) methodologies and standards
into our application support methodologies

Automate routine release or environment management tasks

Provide coaching and direction to team members in DevOps practices and drive continuous service improvement initiatives

Enable Monitoring and Alerting tools

Enable and manage Log Consolidation

Implement Automation tools and services associated to BAU activities

Plan and implement System Maintenance and Upgrades

Ensure smooth delivery of releases to production

Collaborate closely with technical, delivery, architecture, and product teams to execute
on an aggressive product roadmap

Integrate an effective DevOps model that effectively supports all system platform
environments

Champion development methodology trends and emerging technologies

Required Skills:

Demonstrated experience in driving DevOps methodologies.

Significant experience in supporting technical production environments.

Deep hands-on experience with scripting and automation; has ability to write or modify
tools in Powershell, Bash, Ruby, Python, and Perl.

.NET, Java, SQL, python release management experience

Proficient Linux admin and scripting experience

Experience in build/continuous integration tools

Prior experience supporting 24x7, highly-available production systems.

Strong troubleshooting skills and creative problem solving abilities

Strong Knowledge of Windows/RHLE environments: debugging, and performance tuning.

Knowledge of NAS and SAN (block) storage solutions and file sharing network protocols.

Strong understanding of best practices around operations, software development, release engineering, quality assurance

Knowledge of TCP/IP networking, DNS, SMTP, load-balancers, and highly available clusters

Superior organization, communication, and interpersonal skills are essential

Working experience with Agile methodology.

AWS experience a plus

Highly effective at coaching, learning from, and collaborating with other engineers

Demonstrated ability to manage effectively working across various time zones

BS/MS in Computer Science or Engineering, or equivalent combination of education and work experience.
