Job Description

Global advisory firm that focuses on alternative investments is looking for an Accounting Manager with experience working with Investran. The client provides strategy and operations advisory to global managers and investors in the alternative space, including private equity and real estate, fund of funds, pension funds, trusts, endowments, etc.

Main job functions / responsibilities:

Maintain and control the general ledger and various sub-ledgers

Prepare and review financial statements, footnotes and partner capital statements

Prepare and review limited partner and general partner allocations

Prepare and review trial balances and work paper product

Education, Qualifications and Experience

3-8 years public/private accounting experience

Skills in negotiation, business planning and budgeting, margin analysis, rating agency relations and technical accounting

Strong Familiarity with Investran

A highly successful record of delivering large scale business/technology reengineering initiatives in the private equity, hedge funds and fund of funds businesses

Knowledge of US Generally Accepted Accounting Principles and other comprehensive basis of accounting

Experience in reviewing and preparing general ledgers and financial statements

Strong leadership skills and supervisory experience of other professionals

Project management skills with attention to detail and proven ability to multi-task

Strong written and verbal communication skills

Advanced computer skills (Microsoft Excel)

Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or Economics

CPA designation a plus
