IT Infrastructure Architect – Windows

Minneapolis, MN – Downtown

9-12 month Contract

IT Infraustructure Architect is resposible for planning, implementing, managing core Microsoft and VMware technologies in all geographical regions in addition to being a key contributor for internal security defined projects and initiatives.

Combines project management, hardware purchase & installations, software research & deployment to serve the business with new IT innovations as well as providing 3rd Line support to all global IT Field Services representatives.

Some in-country and overseas travel will be required for this role. Some out of hours work will be necessary to accommodate on-call support teams.

Required:

Windows 7, 2008, 2012 operating systems

VMware vSphere 5.0 or above

Active Directory – all aspects including Group Policy, Sites and Services, Domains and Trusts, Federation Services

DNS, DHCP

Microsoft Exchange 2010

Citrix XenApp 6.0 or above

Blade Servers and enclosures

Storage Solutions (Client EVA, MSA, 3Par, iSCSI, VNX, XtremeIO) including fiber switch configurations

Batch file or .vbs scripting

Windows Server Update Services (WSUS)

Symantec Backup Exec 12.5 or above

SKILLS REQUIREMENTS:

Basic project management and good organizational skills – knowledge of Microsoft Project and Project Management certification would be an advantage

Ability to balance workload between multiple projects \ support calls and make good business decisions on priorities

Broad range of technical skills with a solid analytical approach to problem solving

Coordinating activities with functional IT and business group management

Well organized, methodical and calm under pressure

Able to work in all areas of our business, with all departments and at all levels of seniority

Communicating with co-workers to provide and receive direction

Certifications:

Minimum MCP certified and working towards MCITP 2008 \ MCSE 2012 accreditation - desired

VMware & Citrix Certification is preferred - not required
