IT Solution Architecture Manager

JOB SUMMARY:

An IT Solution Architecture Manager is responsible for managing the development and maintenance of enterprise architecture across the organization.

Responsible for designing and implementing system, network, and security architecture and associated standards, and for working with other IT teams to ensure that all technology initiatives are implemented within the existing or planned framework.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

Manages the planning, forecasting, development, and identification of resource requirements for the Enterprise Architecture team.

Strong technical infrastructure background developing Enterprise Networking, Systems (Server / Cloud), and Information Security solutions.

Responsible for defining the infrastructure standards and technology solutions to support the organization.

Manages a team of Architects who implement enterprise and solution architecture based on technology trends, business requirements and IT strategies.

Participates in the development of integrated solutions to resolve highly complex technical and business issues. Leads analysis of the current IT environment to detect critical deficiencies and recommends solutions for improvement.

Works in conjunction with product application teams to create a technology and product roadmap.

Keeps current on industry and market trends to determine their potential impact on the enterprise architecture.

Consults with project teams to fit infrastructure to architecture, as well as to identify when it is necessary to modify the technical architecture to accommodate infrastructure needs.

Oversees the documentation of all architecture design and analysis work.

Participates in the development of policies, standards and guidelines that direct the selection, development, implementation and use of IT within the organization.

Contributes to the planning of the overall organizational IT strategy.

Administers personnel-related matters including interviewing and recommendations for hire, performance evaluations, disciplinary action, mentoring, and training plans for the
Enterprise Architecture team.

Performs special projects, and additional duties and responsibilities as required.

Where applicable and when performing the responsibilities of the job, employees are accountable to maintain Sarbanes-Oxley compliance and adhere to internal control policies and procedures.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:

Comprehensive knowledge and delivery of complex Infrastructure and Information Security solutions.

Knowledge of all components of enterprise architecture. Knowledge of business re-engineering principles and processes.

Strong leadership skills and an entrepreneurial spirit to develop best of breed TCO (Total Cost of Ownership) solutions for the organization.

Demonstrated ability to develop relationships at all levels. Ability to translate business needs into solution architecture requirements.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or related job experience.

Five to eight years of experience in technical architecture, system analysis and project management.
