Job Description

The Senior Interactive Web Developer will be a self-motivated team leader who can quickly turn visual design and wireframes into functional pages and contribute towards ideas and development.

The Senior Web Developer will leverage their talents as a critical member of a progressive team focused upon delivering effective solutions for both enhancements and new development.

Responsibilities:

The Senior Web Developer will develop visual representations of the organizational structure, hierarchy, and relationships of screens in a site as well as the interactions between the user and the functional modules in the solution

Develop screen details depicting all elements on a unique screen type, including the content, functional, and navigation specifications

Evaluate existing sites for usability, visual design, content, and branding

Lead design/user testing sessions

Develop front-end/presentation layer code, including XHTML, CSS, and JavaScript

Develop personas/segmentations based on research findings

Create engaging scenarios and develop frameworks describing key aspects of a proposed experience, and how it reconciles business and user needs

Utilize low-fidelity, medium-fidelity, and high-fidelity prototypes across the different stages of the design

Communicate effectively with creative UX team and technical development team

Integrate presentation layer code with CMS and portal technologies

Help with some design activities - such as web page designs, creation of banner images, buttons

Implement front-end structure and standards as defined by Creative Lead

Work closely with back-end developers to ensure the integrity of the UI throughout the development life-cycle

Ensure cross-browser compatibility and resolve bugs where required

Based on functional specifications, optimize development for User Experience

Requirements:

Strong experience using JavaScript

Experience with JavaScript frameworks such as AngularJS, Node.js, and Backbone

Experience with responsive web designs and mobile web sites is highly desirable

Knowledge of user-centered design methods and techniques

Knowledge of JavaScript/UI libraries (JQuery, etc.) for use in implementing AJAX solutions

HTML, XHTML, CSS, JavaScript, and DOM

Cross-browser development and testing

Experience with Wireframes and Proof-of-concept mockups

Experience in developing standards-based, CSS-driven, table-less layouts

Experience working with graphics manipulation/optimization skills using Photoshop, Illustrator. etc.

Graphics development, creating visual design comps skills using Photoshop, Illustrator, etc. a plus

Working in a collaborative team environment

Very analytical and process-oriented skills

Detail orientated and excellent verbal and written skills

Bachelor's Degree required
