Job Description

We are seeking a Junior Windows Server Infrastructure Operations (InfraOps) Engineer to join our team to contribute to the design, build, and support of our global Windows Server environment.

The role embraces InfraOps (an infrastructure take on DevOps) where the engineer will be expected to be involved in all parts of the service lifecycle.

Key responsibilities:

Create and maintain design artefacts

Contribute to the design & maintenance of the Windows Server Standard Operating
Environment (SOE) and related technologies

Deploy, configure, maintain, and support 1000s of Windows Servers across the globe in a 24x7 environment

Consult with and advise internal customers on related solutions

The role on offer will require an individual with a proven ability to initiate, own, and drive solutions to completion.

You will need a high level of written and verbal communication skills.

You should have experience building relationships with business aligned and other support teams.

You should be able to demonstrate a strong learning mindset.

The following attributes are considered essential:

Minimum of 2 years' experience in the deployment and support of Windows Servers on both physical and virtual infrastructure

Good knowledge of related Windows Server technologies (e.g., Active Directory, DNS, Group Policy, DHCP)

Experience with virtualization (e.g., VMware vSphere)

Experience with scripting and automation (e.g., VBScript and PowerShell)

Strong accountability and willingness to work within a global team environment and display ownership of assigned tasks

Ability to apply themselves to continuous learning and development

The following attributes are considered desirable:

Experience with enterprise configuration management tools (e.g., SCCM) and monitoring tools (e.g., SCOM)

Experience with cloud computing (e.g., AWS or Azure)

Experience with writing SQL queries
