IT Security Solutions Architect

JOB SUMMARY:

An IT Solution Architect-Security is responsible for leading the development of
Information Security Architectural standards, ensuring technology initiatives are implemented within the framework, and leading technology solution initiatives with the IT Security team.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

Responsible for developing and recommending Information Security standards while also operating within the guidance provided by Corporate Information Security policies.

Provides technical leadership for complex projects and ensures the success of enterprise-level Information Security solution activities.

Produce and review solutions ensuring standards are enforced, best practices are implemented, documentation is accurate, and sufficient for deployment, operations, and engineering teams.

Works in conjunction with product application and infrastructure teams to create a technology and product roadmap.

Creates and manages IT Information Security Roadmap with participation from the IT Security team.

Develops and maintains documentation of all IT Security Architecture design, policies, standards, and analysis work. Supports IT Application & Relationship Managers by acting as an Information Security consultant to understand and develop solutions for the business.

Provides technical guidance to project team areas as appropriate.

Functions as a subject matter expert and internal consultant to IT management.

Keeps current on industry trends and maintains knowledge of new technologies.

May participate in the development of policies, standards and guidelines that direct the selection, development, implementation and use of IT within the organization.

Performs special projects, and additional duties and responsibilities as required.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:

Comprehensive experience with IT security principles, practices, technologies, programs and procedures, accompanied by an understanding of risk management methodologies and frameworks.

Hands-on experience with a diverse range of security technologies that include: multivendor application firewalls, IDS/IPS, wireless, SSL and IPSEC VPN's, SSO, multifactor authentication, database technologies, encryption technologies, endpoint security, enterprise logging, SIEM solutions.

Experience with the control and management of user access to data and applications along with the associated auditing requirements.

Experience with vulnerability management tools and procedures.

Experience in a regulated technology environment.

Excellent leadership skills and an entrepreneurial spirit to develop best of breed TCO (Total Cost of Ownership) solutions for the organization.

Strong analytical, organizational, and project management skills.

Excellent technical and business writing skills.

Excellent communication skills with the ability to communicate vision, strategy, and key objectives.

Demonstrated ability to develop relationships at all levels.

Ability to translate business needs into Solution Architecture requirements.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or related equivalent work experience.

Five years of experience with a major focus on Enterprise level Information Security and associated technologies.

CISSP, CISM, SANS or other relevant security certifications and knowledge of CIS, ISO and NIST security standards preferred.
