Position Summary:

The Accounting Manager will utilize accounting, financial reporting, and analytical skills to support the company.

They will provide analytical support for key initiatives and ad hoc requests.

People or Process Management Responsibility:

The position will manage finance professionals and will have a strong knowledge of SAP.

A key part of this role will be interacting with various staff throughout the organization as the accounting lead in testing for acquisitions and system enhancements.

Position Responsibilities may include, but not limited to:

Support the monthly close process

Create the monthly financial reporting package

Assist with transition/integration work for acquisitions

Manage the SAP fixed asset system and implementations

Oversee sales tax reporting

Responsible for the SAP master data system and integrity of the SAP GL system

Develop financial reporting tools in Cognos and other reporting packages

Support the external audit process

Support the Sr. Cost Accounting Manager in financial reporting and analysis

Assist in the inventory process for multiple plant and distribution centers

Manage and develop finance staff

Any other duties as assigned.

Required Skills and Experience:

Bachelor Degree in Accounting or Finance

At least 4 years current accounting experience, including some supervisory experience

Thorough knowledge of P&L, Balance Sheet, and cash flow statements

Must possess strong interpersonal and exceptional problem solving skills

Must possess the ability to quickly learn and work independently

Solid experience in SAP and systems is required

Light travel as required

Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Proficient in Microsoft Office

Preferred Skills and Experience:

CPA certification or post-graduate work

Experience with transition management

Experience in the distribution or beverage industry
