NETWORK SECURITY ENGINEER

Frisco, TX

The Position:

We are hiring a Network Security Engineer to join our clients’ growing Global Network Services team!

This position will be responsible for ensuring the security & continuity of our clients’ network and related systems on a national and global scale.

This is a Senior level Network Security position and will have shared responsibility for after-hours support to ensure minimal down-time in the event of the security system (or any part of it) failing.

The ideal candidate will not be silo’d to one specific area of security and will be able to work under minimal supervision.

The Network Security Engineer will have the opportunity to cross train on new technologies, expand on their certifications and present new technologies for consideration.

We are looking to hire someone with a true passion for Networking and Security. Those not looking to stay up-to-date on the newest of technologies and challenge themselves technically need not apply!

Responsibilities:

Administration of Security network and applications

System security remediation

Security change implementations, and upgrades

Breach troubleshooting and resolution

Business continuity/Disaster recovery planning/Testing

After hours systems support (rotating on-call schedule)

PCI DSS Program adherence, IT standards and best practices, policies and procedures

Minimal travel as needed (US and International is necessary)

Requirements:

5+ years of broad IT Networking/Security experience

Cisco Firewalls (comprises 40% or less of the position)

SIEM (Security Information and Event Management) - preferably Splunk

Business continuity/disaster recovery planning

Sourcefire/SNORT

WAF (Web Application Firewall) - Imperva or another vendor of firewalls for Web Services

McAfee Endpoint protection

CCNP Security, CEH or OSCP are highly desired

Additional training, preferably from Cisco Networking Academy or similar institution
