Job Description
The Financial Analyst will perform financial reporting and analysis to evaluate operating performance and support decision making for the organization.
Principal Duties and Responsibilities
Conducts financial analysis to support business needs
The Financial Analyst will prepare both ad hoc and routine reports to support the evaluation of the organizations operating performance
Proficient with Microsoft Office, Greenway EMR System, Kaufman Hall Budget Advisor, Kronos Visionware productivity system or the willingness and ability to learn.
Prepare reports, executive summaries, and presentations to support decision making for the organization
Develop analysis to include key observations of statistical, financial, and qualitative information
Provide project management support for key organizational initiatives
Keep abreast of healthcare trends and market development as context for analyses
Proficient with the organizations decision support and other systems
Identifies financial status by comparing and analyzing actual results with plans and forecasts.
Guides cost analysis process by establishing and enforcing policies and procedures; providing trends and forecasts; explaining processes and techniques; recommending actions.
Improves financial status by analyzing results; monitoring variances; identifying trends; recommending actions to management.
Reconciles transactions by comparing and correcting data.
Maintains database by entering, verifying, and backing up data.
Recommends actions by analyzing and interpreting data and making comparative analyses; studying proposed changes in methods and materials.
Increases productivity by developing automated accounting applications; coordinating
information requirements.
Knowledge, Experience and Skills
The Financial Analyst will have a bachelor's degree
3-6 years of finance experience in healthcare or acute hospital
Superior analytic and problem solving skills

Superior computer skills required:
