Job Description

Our client is looking for skilled IT Consultant with real world experience from desktop computers to servers in a Windows environment with 4-7 years exp.

The ideal candidate needs the ability to work independently or with a team.

Capacity to research and troubleshoot quickly and accurately is essential.

Excellent time management skills as well as written and verbal communication skills in both corporate and casual environments ranging from CEO's to end users is essential.

Candidate should be dedicated to the idea of a job well done and willing to put in the time/effort to complete the task to client satisfaction.

Our consulting firm is a small shop that manages about 15 companies IT needs, which will give a you variety of locations to work at and many different people to work with.

Reliable transportation is necessary as our client base covers Northwest Indiana, Chicago-Loop, Skokie and Southwest Suburbs.

REQUIREMENTS

-Bachelor's degree in computer science or related field

-2-3 years infrastructure support or related work

-Microsoft Desktop Operating Systems

-Experience with Microsoft Office Products

-Remote Desktop Services

-Installing and supporting network environments

-Ability to assess issues and provide timely resolution.

-Microsoft Certification

-Experience Client side desktop and network support

-Excellent organization and customer service skills

-Excellent verbal and written communication skills

-Desire to be helpful in any situation

-Strong motivation, self-direction, commitment and integrity

-Ability to multi-task with solid analytical and problem-solving skills

-Ability to work independently and be in an on-call rotation.

-Able to lift up to 75 lbs.

Responsibilities:

Fix any hardware, software issue with laptops, desktops.
Build PCs and laptops for roll out either to replace existing equipment or new user's setups.

Troubleshoot any issue, networking, software errors hardware errors etc. for pc and laptops.

On servers have the ability to create users, profiles, Group Policy's, etc., Lower level server administration
