Job Description - Associate, Financial Reporting

Duties:

Day-to-day responsibilities include financial reporting oversight for approximately 650 mutual funds and exchange traded funds with approximately (USD)2 trillion of net assets.

Responsibilities

· Learn about the fund strategies of mutual funds and exchange traded funds and how that translates to presentation of financial information in form N-PORT and N-CEN;

Manage regulatory filings process including production workflow and agree timeline with the Funds' external service providers;

Review of financial information included in financial reports against the annual and semi-annual, shareholder reports and other sources of information;

Perform analytical, quantitative and qualitative reviews of financial information and results to ensure quality standards are maintained, and resolving any queries raised;

· Assist team leader with communicating to external service providers and internal stakeholders on accuracy of content;

Keep abreast of product, business, accounting standards and regulatory changes and develop and maintain a good understanding of the financial accounting environment.

Skills:

Qualifications

College degree is required, preferably in accounting;

Advanced degree and/or CPA are preferable;

Candidate should possess 4 to 7 years combined experience in public accounting, internal audit, mutual fund administration and/or mutual fund accounting., preferably within a mutual fund financial reporting group;

Candidate must have a working knowledge of technical and regulatory issues affecting the mutual fund industry, including generally accepted accounting principles, the Investment Company Act of 1940 and Regulation S-X;

Computer proficiency in Excel, Word and PowerPoint.

Excel VBA and/or SQL skills a plus.
