The Opportunity

This engineer will be reporting into the Firm's Chief Security Officer and will be responsible for taking ownership of their Desktop/ Cloud application environment utilizing cloud hosting providers (Google, Amazon) as well as in-house delivered solutions.

You will be responsible for delivering automation for the on/off boarding of staff and secure, auditable access to the firm's data. Focus on securing our premises and data.

You will also Partner with DevOps to integrate infrastructure into development pipeline.

Success in this Role

Be involved in the setup, configuration and security of our IT services in the cloud and providing best practices and support to our regional offices

Manage the Identity and on-boarding of all new staff across our services

Partner with DevOps function to deliver IT to support our Engineering Teams (development and delivery pipeline)

Partner with teams deploying solutions to our clients (connectivity, security, etc)

Support the team in resolving problems and identifying new solutions and services

What You'll Need to Succeed

Knowledge of IT equipment and how-to setup, configure and diagnose

Knowledge of networking and connectivity

Knowledge of the setup and use of Apple MacBook and OSX; experience with Linux (RHEL, Ubuntu) configuration and management

Attention to detail and ability to document setup and configuration

Experience in basic scripting of configuration and management (Python or Java preferred)

Motivated by helping the team to be productive and successful

Self-starter

Supports opinions with conviction and on basis of logical arguments

Preferred:

Experience with:

JAMF Casper/Pro for managing fleet of Apple laptops

Google Apps for Business (Docs, Drive)

Amazon AWS Web hosting services (EC2, S3, Route53/DNS, IAM Policy, etc)

Juniper networking and Internet connections, Ruckus Wifi, VPNs, routing and firewalls

Knowledge of

Slack messaging, Google Docs, Microsoft Office

VOIP phones and video conferencing systems (Zoom, Skype)

SSO/SAML integration to new services

Linux Configuration Management (Ansible, Vagrant)
