Infinity Consulting Solutions (ICS) is currently seeking a talented Database Developer for multiple positions with one of our clients in the Columbus, Ohio area.

Description:

Job Family Description: Proficient in Database development as well as multiple design techniques

Working proficiency in Database toolset to design, develop, test, deploy, maintain and improve software

Strong understanding of Agile methodologies with ability to work in at least one of the common frameworks

Strong understanding of techniques such as Continuous Integration, Continuous Delivery, Test Driven Development, Cloud Development, application resiliency and security

Proficiency in one or more general purpose programming languages

Working proficiency in a portion of software engineering disciplines and demonstrates understanding of overall software skills including business analysis, development, testing, deployment, maintenance and improvement of Software

This role requires a wide variety of strengths and capabilities, including:

• 7+ years of very strong Database and ETL development experience with wide variety of database tools and ETL tools.

• Pentaho, Informatica or any other relevant ETL tools

• MSSQL and Oracle – Strong SQL, design and stored procedures development experience

• Should be able to work independently with external teams to build end to end batch processed.

• Strong data analysis skills are required; should be able to partner with external LOB representatives to analyze data and provide advisory services.

• Must have experience in data validation and testing as well.

• Bachelor degree in Engineering, Computer Science or related area

• Strong English communication skills

• Architecture and Design skills

• Environments – Linux, Windows

• Databases – MSSQL, Oracle

• Tools – Git, Maven, BitBucket

• Experience in Agile development lifecycle methodology - Scrums, Test-Driven Development, Continuous Integration

• Strong written & verbal communication

• Ability to multi-task, comfortable with change, ability to operate in an intense environment

• Ability to work to deadlines, results-oriented, flexible, adaptable

• Experience with batch scheduling tools (like Control-M, Auto-sys)

Additional skills will be considered a plus:

• Previous experience in the Banking industry and possibly in Privileged Access Management space.

• Experience or desire to learn emerging technologies in the Big Data space namely Cassandra, Spark, Splunk etc.

• Java development experience
