Cisco Voice and Data Network Engineer

The proper candidate must be able to provide design and installation services and technical support for our advanced voice, data products in a fast-paced, demanding environment servicing the financial community.

This individual must have experience in the design, installation, and troubleshooting of voice and data technologies (Cisco, etc.).

Minimum Cisco certification: CCNP

Responsibilities

Support and maintain existing Voice and data network architecture.

Manage and provide training and support to engineering staff

Produce documentation to a high standard

Deliver expert technical knowledge and propose technical solutions.

Provide professional technical sales support to the Sales Department

Establish an in-depth understanding of customer business objectives and technical requirements

Requirements

At least 5 years experience working as a Network Engineer

Extensive technical expertise with corporate Voice over IP Technology

Clear understanding and a history of working with and developing bespoke solutions that integrate IP services including, networking, and IP applications

Proven ability in designing and delivering corporate value add solutions

Competent knowledge of and potential expertise in product and technology areas including:

Voice - PSTN, Interconnect, Switching, VOIP Interfacing

Cisco Call Manager / Session manager

SIP

Cisco Cube Client

OSI Model, IP Protocol suite

Routing protocols - BGP, OSPF,MPLS

NAT (network address translation)

Ethernet

Cisco CPE/Core switching products

Network Management systems

Linux / Unix experience a plus
