UX Designer - Visual

Louisville, CO

Permanent Hire

Immediate opening for a UX Designer - Visual. Our client is looking for a designer whose work is energetic, clean, articulate, and affording of the user’s context.

A collaborator with a passion for UX, visual design and motion design.

Some front-end development skills would be desired but not a must.

Passion for running, cycling or swimming is big plus and is rewarded within the culture of the company.

Their are a few product design positions open at different levels of experience and skill, but an honest self-assessment is required and must be demonstrated with your current body of work and portfolio.

Responsibilities:

- Client and design the visual language for the journey of our users

- Utilize design thinking methods, current visual design trends/conventions and best design practices to inform the visual design

- Work closely with product and engineering teams to build cohesion around the goals of the users and the business

- Design successful product experiences as part of an integrated engineering, product, design, and marketing team

- Identify and articulate user needs, build testable prototypes and iterate based on user testing results

- Facilitate evaluative testing methods for your designs

- Help define both long and short-term vision and roadmap for your product area

- Define interaction models, user flows, and UI specifications

- Collaborate with other designers to maintain design consistency and coherence across the product as appropriate

Requirements:

- Responsive visual design - starting with wireframes and delivering defined visually engaging experiences

- Interaction design and information architecture UX definition through various methods

- Utilize human centered design, current trends and best design practices to inform the visual design

- Ability to usability test in order to deliver the right products

- Experience designing and building products/features for mobile and desktop, native or web platform environments and understanding their conventions

- Passion for identifying and solving real user problems

- An ability to tell compelling stories about your designs and present your work with confidence and conviction to all sides of the business

- Ability to set priorities, effectively communicate progress for project dependencies and deliver on time

- Comfort in a fast-paced, highly-dynamic environment with multiple stakeholders

- Skilled in Sketch, Inovision, Adobe CC, and other design tools

- Working knowledge of HTML and CSS

Preferred:

- JS experience with front end development skills
