Big Data Developer

Global Investment Banking Client

$165K-$185K base + bonus

Are you passionate about delivering building robust and scalable reporting solutions ? Do you have a curious nature, always interested in how to innovate? We are looking for a brilliant java/spark/scala developer to join our team who is

Your team

You will be working in the Distributed Analytics Platform team.

This is a global team with members in US, EMEA and APAC .

You will work with other developers and the lead developers as well as Project Manager, Business Analyst and Production Support staff

You have:

- hands on Hadoop and the Hadoop ecosystem required - Proven experience within CLOUDERA Hadoop ecosystems (SPARK, HDFS, YARN, Hive, Impala, Sqoop, Pig, Hue, etc.)

- hands on experience with spark, spark sql, impala

- experience developing application using Big Data, Kafka, Apache Spark and related areas

- highly proficient in java or scala

- Implement complex data processing algorithms with optimized and efficient manner using spark or impala or similar technologies

- experience with BI integration ( MicroStrategy ) with Hadoop data lake is a huge plus

- Excellent problem solving skills, willingness to take ownership and risks, and enthusiasm in the face of technical challenges

- Experience in performing Proof-Of-concept for new technologies

- Strong communication, technology awareness and capability to interact work with senior technology leaders is a must

- Good knowledge on Agile Methodology and the Scrum process.
