SENIOR NETWORK ARCHITECT
Frisco, TX
Direct Hire - Base + Bonus
The Senior Network Architect position will perform network engineering tasks in a professional, high-tech, multi-campus environment and be an integral part of the current and future design of our network.
The Senior Network Architect identifies opportunities to apply advances in technology to network(s), infrastructure, and/or applications to enhance operations and meet business requirements.
The Senior Network Architect will rapidly identify and execute real-time actions to achieve return to service, performing root cause analysis, and implementing corrective measures to prevent future occurrences.
This position requires current certifications (CCIE/CCNP preferred).
What You'll Do:
Configure, install and support Cisco routers, switches, access points, physical rack units, etc when necessary
Troubleshooting of complex LAN/WAN infrastructure including routing protocols EIGRP, OSPF & BGP
Incident troubleshooting and resolution, including documentation of root cause analysis
Business continuity/Disaster recovery planning/testing
After hours systems support (rotating on-call schedule)
Design end-to-end networking and application data flow with PMO
Implementation and support of SDN and automation and scripting tools (Ansible, Python, etc)
PCI DSS Program adherence, IT standards and best practices, policies and procedures
Monitoring all Cisco equipment's using Solarwinds and PRTG and NAC Administration and
SNMP Network management
Minimal travel as needed (US and International if necessary)
Skills/Experience You'll Need:
15+ years of broad IT Networking experience, including Global infrastructure support
Proficiency with Cisco routers 2900, 4400, etc
Proficiency with Cisco Nexus 2k, 5k, 7k switches
CCNP, CCIE or related certifications are preferred
Knowledge of IPv6 networks and internet routing protocols preferred
Excellent customer service skills and ability to work with all levels of employees (technical and non-technical) from executive management and down
Proactively address potential risks and outages by developing an action plan with IT leadership and stakeholders
SIEM (Security Information and Event Management) - Splunk knowledge preferred
Business continuity/disaster recovery planning
Solarwinds experience preferred for monitoring all Cisco equipment
Additional training, preferably from Cisco Networking Academy or similar institution
