SENIOR SOFTWARE ENGINEER - C++

Richardson, TX

6+ month contract to hire

We are hiring two Senior C++ Software Engineers for our growing client in Richardson!
This is an excellent opportunity to take your career to the next level, working alongside a blend of world-class researchers and product developers.

What You’ll Do:

Develop and maintain application-level software in a real-time embedded Linux environment

Write technical documents including requirement analysis, detailed designs, test plans, and other support documents

Provide mentorship and technical guidance to junior team members

Manage and effectively communicate project status to management

Skills/Experience You’ll Need:

Bachelors or higher degree in Computer Science, Engineering or related field of study (with a GPA of 3.0 or higher)

5+ years of relevant software development experience with C++/C

3+ years working with embedded Linux/Unix operating systems

Excellent communication skills

A strong work ethic and desire to work in a fast-paced, fun, demanding environment

Meticulous attention to detail and quality

Ability to quickly attain domain knowledge and contribute to the design/implementation of sophisticated systems

Strong understanding of software development life cycle and best practices

Excellent problem solving and analytical skills

Excellent organization skills

Self motivated and proactive

Proven track record of working on complex systems and meeting deliverables with limited supervision

Previous experience with Qt, Google Protobufs and Boost a plus
