Senior Tax Associate

Midland, TX

Responsibilities

Understanding of S-Corp, C-Corp, individuals, partnerships and general business planning knowledge

Establish and maintain good working relationships with clients, building client relationships

Research and consult on complex tax returns, demonstrating understanding of tax return processes and financial statements

Coordinate development of planning activities on engagements including time budgets

Ability to plan, perform and deliver work independently

Ensure that deliverables are clear, concise and within guidelines

Assist in development and delivery of project budgets, timelines

Direct and mentor associates across multiple concurrent projects

Requirements

3-5 years of public tax accounting experience

Bachelor’s degree Accounting, related field

Master’s degree (preferred)

CPA Candidate, CPA preferred

Demonstrate strong working knowledge of federal tax laws in various industries

Thorough understanding of accounting issues and financial statement preparation

Excellent written and verbal communication

Proven ability to lead and develop team
