Accounting Analyst

Accounting Analyst Position Summary:

This position will be responsible for providing analytical support to the Communications Accounting Manager and the broader Finance team.

To be successful, the candidate must develop solid working relationship.

The candidate must be organized, thorough, and accurate in their work with exceptional attention to detail.

The candidate must also possess a high level of integrity with respect to their work in the accounting profession.

The Accounting Analyst will need to prepare journal entries, balance sheet reconciliations, various internal reporting and complete and meet monthly closing deadline with accuracy.

This role's responsibilities also include revenue and cost analysis, forecasting, communicating results to the business and interacting with our external auditors for quarterly reviews and annual audits

Accounting Analyst Description:

Assist in the month end, quarter end and year end closing process including monthly financial close workbook preparation.

¨ Produce journal entries

¨ Handle intercompany transactions

¨ Manage reconciliation, depreciation, and fixed asset ledgers

¨ Install, Subscription, Maintenance, MAC revenue & costs

Understand revenue recognitions rules

Impromptu reporting and special projects, when requested

Partake in a variety of department-wide initiatives

Provide commentary and analysis of significant trends in expense variances

Work with the group to identify opportunities and make recommendations for business process improvements.

Accounting Analyst Skills and Knowledge Required:

4+ years of recent and relevant accounting experience

Strong analytical skills, accuracy and attention to detail

High proficiency in using Excel spreadsheets and databases

Comprehensive knowledge of month end closings

Strong organizational, written and verbal communication skills

Ability to deliver insightful and meaningful observations

Accounting Analyst Minimum Education Required
:

· College degree (4 year); Accounting, Finance preferred.

· Oracle experience is preferred
