AVP - Front Office Developer

An exciting opportunity has arisen within our Technology organization for a Front Office developer to join the team supporting our Commodities business.

Key Responsibilities:

Acquire a broad understanding of the internal trading system, products and
implementation, and surrounding infrastructure

Develop and test extensions to trading system and surrounding infrastructure in C++,
Python, or Java

Contribute to supporting day-to-day front-office activities

Continually upgrade skill set with respect to both technical skills and business/product knowledge

Day to Day Duties :

Develop and test extensions to trading system and surrounding infrastructure in C++, Python, or Java

Present test evidence and gain approval to deploy changes to production infrastructure

Contribute to supporting day-to-day front-office activities, responding to inquiries regarding calculations observed in various finance (P&L) and risk systems

Automation of daily processes and helping to improve efficiency of existing processes

Seeking and incorporating feedback from business clients for continuous improvement

Experience Required:

Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related field

At least 3 years experience in C++ and/or Python

Understanding in data structures, Object Oriented Programming and Unix OS fundamentals

Knowledge in Java desirable

Strong communication skills

Financial knowledge is desirable

Strong analytical skills

Comfortable with collaboration across teams, functional areas and product sets
