Job Description

Automation Test Engineer

A large, national nonprofit in Reston, VA is looking to add a software QA tester to their team on for a long term two year contract.

You will be expected to plan, design, develop, execute, and maintain automated test suites using tools such as Selenium, UFT etc.

The ideal candidate will also develop, enhance, extend and maintain test automation libraries and frameworks using the latest commercial and open source technologies, as well as maintain, troubleshoot, and scale automation testing framework as per the ongoing development.

Required Skills:

Bachelor's degree in computer science or related technical discipline

5+ years of Software Testing experience with strong background in QA and Testing in a multi-server environment. Including back-end and front-end testing activities

4+ years of experience in developing and maintaining test automation suites using tools such as Selenium, UFT and/or other automation testing frameworks/tools such as Node.Js, Mocha, Chai, Karma, XUnit

Experience building and maintaining test automation using Java and other scripting languages

Strong programming skills in Java or other object-oriented languages

Experience working with Continuous Integration tools like Jenkins and strong understanding of builds, configuration, environment setup

Experience with Visual Studio test management tools and/or Microsoft Test Manager a plus

Excellent communication skills. Must be attentive to detail, highly-organized, and able to multi-task.

Strong understanding of Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC), quality assurance life cycle and testing methodologies

Ability to work independently and meet deadlines in a highly demanding environment
