Job Description

Looking for a candidate with strong skills in capacity planning, and problem analysis.
Knowledgeable in: SAS, RMF, RMF Post Processor, RMFIII, RMF Portal, WLM, MXG, MICS, as well as Omegamon and SYSVIEW.

Responsible for monitoring, providing monitors, and reporting for all SYSTEMS, including zIIP and GP usage, memory, coupling facility, response/elapsed time, and more.

The candidate will work closely within a team of performance engineers to provide technical support for all performance related projects and activities.

The individual will also act as a liaison to other departments on all technical matters related to performance and capacity planning

Skills Required:

Focus on System Performance and Capacity Planning in a multi-CEC & Sysplex environment

Experienced at trouble shooting performance issues in z/OS environment

Excellent testing and reporting skills (design tests to validate software functionality, robustness, performance, and environmental health and stability)

Experienced at tuning an environment with Natural/Adabas, COBOL, DB2, MQ and CICS workload

Strong familiarity with z/OS

JCL, SAS,REXX

HCD/Hardware knowledge

Strong knowledge of WLM, RMF, RMF Monitor III, RMF Post Processor, RMF Performance Data
Portal, Omegamon, Epilog, and SMF data collection and reporting

Advanced use of SAS, MXG, CA-MICS, REXX

Experience maintaining MICS- Experience with CA-Sysview, IBM SCRT, IBM Tivoli Decision
Support (TDS), IBM Country Wide Multiplex Pricing(CMP) a plus

Strong verbal and written communications skills

Ability to interface with various levels of management and with business clients

Knowledge of following hardware: IBM mainframe, Internal and External coupling facility,
IBM and EMC storage and tape subsystems
