Job Description

Network and VoiP Admin

Responsibilities:

Resolves moderately complex reported problems and defects associated with network and telecommunications equipment

Supports security, disaster recovery and similar functions related to the provisioning of network and telecommunications related services

Assists in the review and evaluation of vendor network and telecommunications products

Participates in change management, performance analysis, inventory management, technical standards, and procedure support activities of the Bank`s network and telecommunications systems

Provides technical support and assistance to telecommunications administration group including supporting dedicated telecommunication PCs and applications

Conducts feasibility studies for small projects, develops requests for proposal, evaluates vendor products, and makes recommendations on selection

Conducts employee training sessions on network and telecommunication equipment and services

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience in computer science, mathematics, telecommunications or other information technology related disciplines

3-5 years of direct work-related experience in the network and telecommunications fields Detailed knowledge of the technical aspects of networks and telecommunications

Prior experience working through telecommunication and network trouble determination, evaluation, and resolution

Strong organizational, documentation and communications skills

Strong PC skills including Microsoft Office suite, Windows operating systems as well as the ability to quickly learn new applications

Basic to advanced understating of VOIP phone systems

Understanding of data networking principles and topologies

Knowledge of structured cabling systems and Client-outs
