QA AUTOMATION STRATEGIST

North Dallas/Addison, TX

Direct Hire: Base + Bonus

ICS is hiring for a true QA Automation Subject Matter Expert who will set the strategic direction for all things Automation testing, including which tools should be implemented into the current environment.

This is NOT your normal QA Automation role but instead is a true hybrid role that will encompass both a technical testing background along with the ability to create and execute a strategic roadmap and vision.

If you love researching the latest and greatest automation tools then developing a strategic plan to implement, this is the role for you!

What You'll Do:

Set the strategic direction for automation testing and tooling

Design, develop, and implement automation testing and tooling solutions with a focus on web based applications and web based APIs

Mentoring team members on automation tooling and techniques

Function as the "automation evangelist"

Maintain the testing data tooling and process

Collaborate with the DevOps team to incorporate automation into the build pipeline

Document and perform manual testing of assigned products when necessary

Document and report to the development team bugs or issues found for automated or manual testing

Play an active role in release planning and be the voice of QA for the product.

Provide reporting and recommend improvements such as in-code coverage and defect density

Assist in verifying that corrections have been made by development prior to the release cycle

Work to improve processes and technologies related with Software Quality Assurance

Build and maintain positive relationships with customers and internal staff and other stakeholders

Manage tasks to meet the assigned project dates

Skills/Experience You'll Need:

Deep experience with Automated Testing Tools

Previous experience providing automation mentorship to teammates

Experience with BDD a plus

Experience working in a DevOps environment

Experience with Software Test planning

Hands-on knowledge of SQL (any SQL database engine is OK)

Strong organization ability and strong attention to detail

Strong written and verbal communication skills

Professional demeanor, dependable, and able to maintain confidential information

Flexible and able to successfully accept change and lead the charge

Able to successfully interact with all levels of an organization while building rapport
and trust

Excellent Communication skills
