Job Description
Our client is seeking a Technical Business Analyst to join their growing team in the Chicago Loop.
This person will likely come from a Software background, where they enjoy working as an integral part of the SDLC, being able to define technical requirements and help create solutions as dictated by the needs of the business.
Assist in formulating and defining systems scope and objectives through research and fact-finding combined with a basic understanding of business systems and industry requirements.
Includes analysis of business and user needs, documentation of requirements, quality control testing, and the revision of existing system logic difficulties as necessary under direction of experienced Business System Analysts ·
Serve as an entry-level independent contributor with expertise in at least one technical area ·
Support applications by documenting and testing system requirements and specs ·
Works effectively as part of a team.
Decision-Making: · Support immediate work team by executing assigned tasks ·
Recognize, identify and escalate problems/issues to the appropriate resource ·
Seeks input and approval on solutions to straightforward problems ·
Apply compliance requirements within scope of responsibility, provide documentation as necessary and participate in compliance activities as required.
Supervision Received/Provided: Apply technical expertise and work independently within scope, receiving structured guidance, instruction and direction from work team and/or manager on most tasks
Requirements:
We are seeking a technical business analyst who will assist with SQL development as well.
Can articulate the purpose of the application being tested and the basic business implications of the applications to the current business environment ·
Basic understanding of generally accepted requirements gathering and quality assurance testing methodologies, tools, techniques and application debugging from a technical and business perspective ·
General knowledge of the Guggenheim business functions and how applications will be used by Guggenheim customers (not required for new hires—acquired knowledge)
Must have experience in one or more of the following: in C#, SharePoint, SQL server, T-SQL, writing queries, JavaScript, content management systems, data models or database engineering, service architecture, object relational mappings, scripting, system architecture, IIS, Windows, and HTML Prefer a working knowledge of the financial services industry
Technical Requirements
