Job Description

DEVELOPMENT TEAM LEAD

An established but growing financial services organization is seeking an experienced development Team Lead with a background in .NET and Azure technologies.

The Development Team Lead will be instrumental in driving the Cloud migration on the development side for the company.

The ideal candidate will still be hands-on but capable of managing a team of onshore and offshore development resources while also tightening up and establishing processes, conducting code reviews, etc.

The Development Team Lead is a brand new role that will lead the overall development efforts for the organization, focusing on architecture, technology and people leadership.

Excellent communication skills are required.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Drive the strategy for how the company handles architecture and lead the team of external and internal developers in creation of its product platform

Maintain high standards of quality and drive scalable coding practices and design patterns within the organization

Collaborate, lead, and mentor product owners, development teams and stakeholders to design and deliver top notch product portfolio on-time and within budget

Develop and execute strategy for the company's Azure cloud migration and utilization of Azure cloud services

Participate in peer-reviews of solution designs and related code

Work with test, DevOps, operations teams to ensure system is delivered quickly, efficiently, and within scope

REQUIREMENTS:

BS/BA in computer science, engineering or related discipline desired, MS preferred

8+ years prior experience leading agile development teams in a SaaS environment leveraging .NET

Deep experience with C#, ASP.NET MVC, SQL

Experience with Azure or AWS cloud services

Deep experience with Agile SDLC and Microsoft TFS ALM system

Experience with migration of on-prem applications to the cloud and previous work with microservices highly desired.

Previous experience with data intensive applications is preferred

Experience with front end development using JavaScript, Angular, and Bootstrap

Considers context and the point of view of all stakeholders

Possesses solid problem-solving skills with the ability to think outside the box
