Job Description
We are seeking a Software Product Owner to join our mature, multidisciplinary team of software development experts, data scientists and data physicists.
You will have the opportunity to work with some of the brightest talents in Houston in a state of the art facility in the CityCentre area.
Must have Agile Software Development, and Geology/Reservoir Engineering background.
Responsibilities
Interact with internal customers (end users, subject matter experts etc.) to gather business requirements, write user stories, and define acceptance criteria for custom software solutions
Collaborate with other software development team members to define deliverables, test cases, estimate level of effort
Maintain project plans, report progress, surface risks, identify mitigation plans, ensure on time and under budget delivery of software solutions that exceed quality expectations
Must have
Bachelor's degree in Business, MIS, or related field, or commensurate level of professional experience
Strong experience gathering and analyzing business requirements, writing user stories and defining acceptance criteria for end to end custom software solutions involving storage, computation and visualization of large scale geospatial data for Petroleum Engineering, Geoscientific and/or Geophysical applications
Functional understanding of Geology, Geophysics, Reservoir Engineering, Petrophysics, Reservoir Modeling, Rock Mechanics and related subject matters
Preferred
Familiarity with cloud, big data, HPC, data science, machine learning, 3D visualization and web applications development technologies
Experience working in an Agile software development environment
