Job Description
Marketing Manager
The objective of the Marketing Manager is to ensure that everything is created and disseminated internally and externally, attains the highest level of excellence in the marketplace and is in consistent alignment with the Client's companies.
The Marketing Manager oversees the creation of all local marketing activities related to pursuing and securing business including but not limited to: overseeing marketing staff, managing the proposal process, tracking opportunities and win rates, maintaining the CRM, servicing existing projects and gathering project assets.
The Marketing Manager is responsible for staying in tune with market trends and proactively suggesting ideas for continual improvement to the Client's companies.
Responsibilities:
Build a high performing team. Delegate and coordinate the work of staff (coordinator / assistant)
Develop an annual marketing plan in conjunction with the President and Director of Brand
Strategy that aligns with the vision of the company.
Strategize, lead & manage the proposal and presentation process.
Write content and manage all proposal/presentation assets: boilerplates, resumes, project descriptions, etc.
Coordinate post-project assets: photoshoots, video, virtual reality, testimonials, references, etc.
Plan and execute business events (social, networking, educational events, etc.)
Design marketing materials to aid in the sale of new business: brochures, infographics, case studies, etc.
Maintain CRM database of contacts, leads, opportunities and projects.
Establish procedures for local office marketing, while adhering to companywide marketing policies.
Create e-blast and print mail campaigns. Aid in the content creation and design of other marketing programs and tools such as web, social, webinars, white papers, lunch and learns, etc… as required.
Meet regularly with President to review opportunity pipeline.
Meet regularly with Director of Brand Strategy and companywide marketing staff to coordinate workload, share creative ideas, spread workload and ensure alignment across
organizations.
Stay abreast of new marketing trends and proactively present ways to operate more effectively and efficiently.
Develop relationships with industry peers and participate in professional industry organizations for visibility and knowledge sharing.
Skill Set:
Proven ability to manage, mentor and inspire marketing staff
Expert skills in InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator and all MS Office tools
Strong writing, editing, design and presentation skills required
Prior Salesforce or similar CRM experience
Knowledge of software platforms such as OpenAsset, HubSpot, Constant Contact, WordPress,
SquareSpace, SurveyMonkey, etc. strongly preferred.
Demonstrated ability to organize proposal efforts and work collaboratively in a team environment under tight deadlines.
Ability to multitask and prioritize multiple projects at any given time
Critical thinking and good judgement required
Takes initiative, proactive and independent self starter
Excellent customer service skills & a positive attitude
Discreet and able to handle sensitive information in a confidential manner
Strong work ethic in a highly demanding environment
Experience:
Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications or other related field
5-10 years of applicable marketing work experience in the A/E/C industry
CPSM designation preferred
