Job Description

WINDOWS PRODUCTION SUPPORT ANALYST

Downtown Dallas, TX

12+ month contract

We are hiring a Production Support Analyst to provide production support in a mainly Windows enviornment.

The Production Support Analyst will work with development team(s) and business during planning, implementation and support phases of software development life cycle to meet the business objectives of our Clients' customer(s).

What You'll Do:

Request Remedy/FireCall approvals and deploy new/modified code into QA and Production environments.

Support Business and Development teams in production and QA environments.

Provide data extracts, reports and system logs as requested by business on need basis with proper approvals.

On call production support on rotation basis.

Support system audit processes.

Participate in code reviews, project planning, scrum sessions, project pre-implementation reviews, post-implementation reviews.

Lead, and support Business Resumption Test process.

Collaborate with Nation IT, Middleware, DBA and system wide teams on production migrations, system support activities.

Provide Status and Root Cause Analysis reports.

Document implementation of production process(es); Keep comments and status updates on JIRA tickets, audit items, up to date.

Attend daily standup meetings and provide current work status/challenges; attend CAB meetings on need basis.

Requirements:

Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or similar technical discipline.

1+ years of experience in supporting a Windows production environment within a medium to large company.

Must have experience in writing/executing Unix and Windows scripts, and PowerShell scripts.

Working knowledge of basic DB queries/routines and batch processing/scheduling.

Must have a collaborative communication style, but at the same time be able to take a strong position when warranted.

Demonstrates excellent critical thinking and problem solving abilities.

Demonstrates high level of integrity, ability to work with ambiguity, and strong sense of confidence to deliver on responsibilities.

Demonstrates proactive, self-motivated, reliable and accountable qualities.

Adherence responding to and maintaining applications compliance for financial, audit, and security requirements

Working knowledge of business continuity, and high availability.

Be willing to work off-hours and weekends on need basis.

Knowledge of Lawson system or any ERP system is preferred.

Good at documentation and book keeping

Knowledge and awareness of application and data security and implications of not following the same.
