SOFTWARE SUPPORT SPECIALIST
Seeking a Software Support Specialist for an established software company.
You will be the providing customer support for the company's proprietary software they provide to their mostly US-based clientele.
The software is crucial for clients to help manage orders, track deliveries, handle billing side, etc.
As the Software Support Specialist, you will be responsible for system upgrades, in-depth analysis, network connectivity, should have knowledge or Windows OS, LAN vs. WAN, and overall troubleshooting, not just escalating technical issues.
You will be part of a team of 4 that handles up to 30 calls a day for a variety of clients.
An accounting background would be really helpful but not required.
The ideal Software Support Specialist will have excellent communication skills and the right attitude to help solve client issues when needed.
Responsibilities:
Communicate with customers via telephone and email to resolve software issues
Document customer issues and resolutions in the incident tracking software
Test, reproduce and document any software defects to be passed to development in the incident tracking software
Provide internal support for other employees requiring assistance
Provide after-hours support if needed
Perform software upgrades and complete software installations (may require evening/weekend work)
Strong technical knowledge of Windows OS and network infrastructure
Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in IT or Business related field preferred
2+ years of experience in customer service preferred
Previous experience with product management or product tracking software preferred
Strong organizational and time management skills
Ability to remain calm and professional in hectic situations
Strong customer service acumen highly desired.
Ability to work in fast paced environment
Ability to solve problems effectively and creatively
Ability to work both independently and in a team environment
+/-10% travel required to customer conference/industry events/customer sites.
Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
