Job Description

IT MANAGER

A global law group is actively seeking an experience IT Manager to lead their regional team.

The IT Manager will lead a geographically aligned technology support team in the delivery of Tier 2 end user support.

This person will develop, plan, and lead strategic projects and operational activities which impact their designated region.

The ideal IT Manager should have extensive management experience, can establish processes, procedures and use their leadership abilities to accomplish goals.

This role will manage our Central U.S. offices and will require quarterly travel.

Excellent communication skills are required.

Responsibilities:

Hire, mentor, and manage regional IT support staff, including hosting regular team and one-on-one meetings and conducting annual performance reviews

Monitor the IT ticketing system to ensure escalated issues receive appropriate resolution per established Service Level Agreements

Oversee staff in the performance of regional operational activities including new hire setup, office moves, and video conference presentations

Partner with regional human resources and office administration to handle confidential matters such as lateral attorney arrivals, terminations, etc.

Manage large-scale regional IT projects such as network upgrades, office expansions, and relocations

Manage regional office IT asset inventory and equipment purchase requests for laptops, desktops, and peripherals

Develop and implement policies and procedures that govern information technology resources within the Firm

Engage vendors and negotiate contracts for secure asset disposal per Firm policy

Requirements:

Bachelor's degree

7+ years of professional IT management experience

Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, and Word)

Strong written and verbal communication skills

Strong organizational skills

Strong motivational and presentation skills

Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and changing environment

Ability to handle and maintain confidential information

Ability to travel work flexible and/or fluctuating work hours

Ability to work independently and under own direction and initiative

Background in the legal industry is a nice to have
