SENIOR .NET DEVELOPER

CONTRACT POSITION

FLOWER MOUND / GRAPEVINE, TX

The Position:

We are hiring a Senior .NET Developer, who has architecture experience too, for our client who is looking to build out the company’s future framework from scratch!

This is a Contract position that is targeted to be about 6 months; with the opportunity to extend.

This person will act as a Subject Matter Expert to design and develop customer-facing solutions in an Agile/Scrum development environment.

What You’ll Do:

Identify issues and implement solutions for problems in production

Create solutions and remediation plans for new application design/implementations

Participate in daily scrum, sprint planning, and sprint retrospectives

Perform software development for the most critical aspects of software applications

Improve quality metrics through process automation and unit testing

Research support issues, business requests, and potential solutions

May assist in production issue resolution and on call duties

Assist in developing and improving procedures, standards, and best practices

May review team’s work products for quality and adherence to standards

Create and maintain documentation to support the full Application Development Lifecycle

Mentoring less experienced developers when needed

Experience/Skills You Need:

Bachelor’s Degree with a technology emphasis preferred, or equivalent experience

8+ years of Application Development experience; 2+ years of Application Architecture experience in an Agile/Scrum environment

7+ years of experience developing .NET applications

Proficiency with the following technologies: .NET web applications, C# & Visual Basic .NET, SQL Server, IIS, Visual Studio

Working knowledge of XML APIs, Web Services, Service Oriented Architecture

Working knowledge of JavaScript/JQuery. Angular experience is a plus.

Client Server Architecture experience required.

Working knowledge of mocking frameworks, automated build & unit testing, Team Foundation
System/Team Foundation Server

Experience with scaling and performance tuning of web applications

Experience with internationalization of web sites and payment processing

Experience with industry standard information protection, data security guidelines, secure coding techniques & best practices (i.e. PCI, SOX, OWASP)
