CONTRACT-TO-HIRE

DALLAS, TX

POSITION:

ICS is looking for a senior Oracle Database Administrator, who has experience working with
Systems/Server and Development teams, to join our global Information Technology Services client in Dallas, TX! This person will be part of a smaller team and have the opportunity to make a signifcant impact on setting future standards and processes.

WHAT YOU'LL DO:

Responsible for performing both advanced and all general database administration functions including overall database and system design, Oracle Real Application Clusters (RAC) configuration, system design and maintenance, Golden Gate configuration and maintenance, database installs including upgrading and patching, backup and recovery including standby database management, replication, streams and employing both advanced and general performance tuning strategies.

Work closely with the Development Team in troubleshooting SQL statement issues and presenting fact based findings to developers to improve processes.

Make recommendations to improve web application processing issues and design.

Familiar with administering and operating the Oracle Business Intelligence Enterprise Edition (OBIEE) tooling.

Advise Senior Management on ways to improve overall system and database processes

Consistent communication with internal and external partners on the Technology and Business side

REQUIREMENTS:

8 + years of Oracle DBA experience; administering Oracle8i -11g and other RDBMS including MySQL

Experience in UNIX/Linux environments with a thorough understanding of the underlying operating system.

Oracle Golden Gate Replication experience

Oracle RAC experience

Experience in database change management/data management through the various stages of the system development life cycle.

Excellent communication skills; written and verbal

Advanced knowledge and experience with the following:

Physical/logical database design

Utilizing backup and recovery principles Recovery Manager (RMAN)

Space management and capacity planning Advanced System Management (ASM)

Oracle Business Intelligence Enterprise Edition (OBIEE) tooling and how it interacts with other Oracle database tooling

Database security management
