Senior Associate, Tax

Responsibilities

Partnership tax compliance; review domestic and foreign partnership returns, including carried interest tax allocations.

Assist in preparation of estimates, tax information packages that accompany schedules K-1, and respond to investor questions and requests.

Local country tax compliance; gather, review and understand accounting information from externally -controlled foreign subsidiaries. Coordinate preparation and review of local country tax returns.

U.S. international tax compliance; review PFIC and CFC (subpart F) tax analyses for use in preparation of respective tax returns. Prepare and review international informational returns such as Forms 5471, 8865, 8858, and FBAR reporting.

ASC 740; review deferred tax assets, liabilities, and determinations of uncertain tax positions for U.S. GAAP reporting.

Responsible for ad-hoc tax planning and research, information gathering and tax analysis

Complete special projects as assigned such as the analysis of tax law changes and specific tax ramifications with respect to anticipated business transactions.

Education

Bachelor's degree in accounting required; CPA required

5+ years of experience in partnership tax in a public accounting setting (preferably Big4 or Tier II accounting firms) or real estate environment

Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint

Must have good oral and written communication skills
