As a member the architecture team, you will contribute to the modernization of FBT.

You will work with architecture and application teams to help foster innovation, drive standardization and deliver on new technology patterns across the stack.

You will drive product roadmap evolution in conjunction with business unit product goals.

You will provide leadership in computing services, adoption of platforms and consolidation across the Business units initiatives.

This Solutions Architect will play a hands-on role driving the overall technical and solutions architecture within Brokerage Technology.

This individual will be responsible for the all aspects of the application architecture and security.

S/he will work closely influencing Business Sponsors, Scrum Masters and Peer Architects while driving the firms Brokerage Technology's digital modernization efforts.

Job Responsibilities:

Provide technical leadership and hands on day-to-day solutions to agile teams, preparing the design artifacts and implementation of solutions

Contribute to the development of digital architecture blueprint by monitoring industry and technology trends and directions

Ensure technology decisions align with architecture standards and strategies

Evaluate and recommend technology and frameworks for flexibility, long-term viability, and time to market

Engage with Project Teams to deliver architecture artifacts, drive issue resolution, wellness plans, and product roadmaps

Partner with peer architects finding opportunities to refactor business processes, improve customer experience or perform capability rationalization

The Expertise We're Looking For

Ability to provide technical leadership and hands on day-to-day solutions to agile teams, preparing the design artifacts and implementation of solutions

Ability to analyze business direction and problems, understand long term vision and risk in developing strategic technical solutions. Work closely with Product/Application teams in technology evaluation, selection, recommendation and configuration

Ability to build and maintain effective relationships with product managers, architects and technical leads for individual products and applications

Ability to drive solutions architecture design and ownership and articulate architecture solution options to the product owners and architecture leadership

Contribute to the development of digital architecture blueprint by monitoring industry and technology trends and directions

Ensure technology decisions stay in sync with architecture standards and strategies

Evaluate and recommend technology and frameworks for flexibility, long-term viability, and time to market

Proven and comprehensive knowledge of APIs, UIs, infrastructure, data architecture, security, and new technologies

Strong understanding of the agile development process and DevOps practices

Engagement with Project Teams to deliver architecture artifacts, drive issue resolution, wellness plans, and product roadmaps

Partnering with peer architects finding opportunities to refactor business processes, improve customer experience or perform capability rationalization

Ability to work both independently and with all levels of the organization, including technical and non-technical team members

The role is responsible for partnering with Business and Technology leaders to drive and deliver architecture strategies and implementations.

The Skills You Bring

Strong software development skills and experience using Java and web application technologies

Expertise in Client-Side technologies including HTML 5, JavaScript, CSS3, Angular

Experience in Server-Side technologies like Java, Node.js, JSON

Experience with Spring and integration frameworks

Open Source Frameworks - Spring MVC, Spring Core, Spring REST, Apache Camel

Experience or certification in AWS Cloud-based Architecture preferred

Experience with API Management, domain modeling, policy modeling

Experience in internet security: OAuth, Open ID Connect and knowledge of standard methodologies

Ability to translate business needs into technology solutions

Strong presentation skills; written and verbal communication including the ability to influence

Ability to negotiate resolution of issues and conflicts

Strong knowledge of responsive web design and technologies

Strong knowledge of continuous integration, static code analysis and test-driven development

Strong experience on performance analysis and tuning

Experience with cloud design patterns preferred
