C++ Software Engineer – R&C

The Experienced C++ Software Engineer for Reconciliation & Control (R&C) will work closely with other developers, as well as business users, in implementing new requirements and enhancements.

Expected to provide technical expertise to support and enhance the application.

Must demonstrate an ability to analyze complex business and technical problems, make sound technical decisions independently and proactively work with team members and end users.

The role involves using C++, along with other technologies such as Python, SSAS, SQL to develop robust and flexible software solutions.

Focus will be on enhancing and building extensible and scalable applications.

Successful candidate in this team will need to be multi-faceted with passion for different technologies and desire to understand the business to be able to craft solutions that meet and exceed end user expectations.

Responsibilities:

Responsible for design, development and deployment of new features and enhancements to the existing R&C application suite.

Ensure the reliability, availability, and performance of applications

Own the automation of repetitive tasks and resolution of systematic issues

Identify and deliver engineering solutions for issues based on root cause analysis

Own incident management and resolution

Provide support and ensure applications are production ready

Qualifications:

Strong background in computer science fundamentals, data structures, algorithms, distributed systems

Fully proficient in C++ (8-12 years) with an interest and inclination to develop needed skills in other languages such as C#, Java, Python.

Comfortable with a range of current software development tools and practices (testing, source control, build systems, CI/CD etc)

SQL and database experience a strong plus.

Data Analysis and working with PowerBI / SSAS a strong plus

Any prior application development in C#/.NET good to have.

Some experience with building and managing highly reliable large scale systems a plus

Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Strong entrepreneurial spirit

A passion for learning, adapting to changing requirements and technology and inventing new approaches to hard problems

Education:

Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or Computer Science or an allied field.
