Job Description

Our client is a growing real estate organization located in North Miami, FL. We are conducting a search for a Senior Property Accountant to join their team.

This person will have an opportunity to grow with the company and be a key part of an expanding accounting team.

The position requires full cycle accounting through financial statement preparation.

As part of your responsibilities you will need to perform monthly reporting, and complete bank reconciliations, account and variance analysis, and preparing all balance sheet supporting schedules.

The right candidate in addition to having a strong accounting background will have strong communication skills.

JOB DUTIES

Duties include but are not limited to: Preparing the monthly property financial statements which includes preparing and entering journal entries, accruals, reclasses and bank reconciliations

Working in the Yardi System as well as various Owner’s systems and website portal Inputting the Rental
Cash Receipts in the Property Management System

Working closely with Property Services team for Client Reporting Preparing and/or assisting in the
property Annual Budget process

Preparing Annual government filings for property taxes and other filing requirements

Work closely with the audit/tax firm during the year end

JOB REQUIREMENTS

Bachelor of Science Degree in Accounting or Finance

YARDI Software experience

Proficient in Quickbooks, Excel, Word and Outlook

5+ years of Real Estate accounting experience
