Job Description

We are conducting a search for a Director of Finance for a global company located in Boca Raton, FL.

The ideal candidate will have experience in a large corporate environment in a leadership role that included process improvement, automation and enhancing procedures to create efficiencies within the department.

This role reports directly to the VP of Finance and will collaborate with several other business areas.

We are looking for a creative thinker that has a track record of leading procedural improvements.

Duties and Responsibilities

Oversees all aspects of the budget & forecasting processes including soliciting and reviewing budget information to assess the current and projected needs of all business units.

Prepares and reviews all decision items, budget schedules, and supplemental requests.

Continually monitors changes to the business performance throughout the year and makes changes to the forecast accordingly.

Creates methodologies and procedures to prepare the annual budget; communicates, implements, and monitors budgetary procedures for the organization.

Compares monthly forecasts against current and historical budgets.

Handles responses to inquiries from senior management regarding the company’s financial performance and forecast.

Provides ad hoc analysis when necessary.

Assists locations in budget preparation; verifies specific needs and recommends changes for adjustments.

Prepare presentations for senior management and the board of directors

Maintain policies and procedures as necessary.

Performs other duties as assigned.

Requirements

Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, or Accounting.

MBA or Master’s Degree preferred.

Minimum eight (8) years of progressive experience in financial planning and analysis.

Strong knowledge of Hyperion and MS office suite

Ability to plan for, prioritize, manage, and execute work assignments, utilizing self discipline and motivation.

Strong organizational skills are necessary to perform this critical job function.

Experience with financial modelling

Very strong written and verbal communication is necessary to establish and maintain effective working relationships with employees at all levels within the organization.

Ability to carry out complex written and oral instructions

Ability to conduct policy research and to prepare clear and accurate reports
