Job Description

SENIOR BUSINESS INTELLIGENCE ENGINEER

Santa Ana, CA

3+ month contract

ICS is hiring for a Senior BI Developer in Santa Ana.

The Business Intelligence Developer will work within our Client’s InfoSec team and provide complex data analysis and solutions for information security operations and stakeholders.

What You’ll Do:

Automating data collection from different data sources

Developing, authoring and leading automation processes and adoption

Implementing Azure SQL Server, SSIS on Azure (Azure Data Factory) solutions

Collaborating with various groups to set data strategy and planning for each group

Understanding business needs and requirements and translating into user stories

Mining data in large databases to locate information related to information security

Performing independent research on trends and creating metrics to evaluate data models

Fulfilling complex data analysis and identifying process improvement opportunities in data management

Driving data validation for accuracy and completeness

Serving as data SME across information security operations to employ best practices for data quality tools and methodologies

Tracking delivery service levels and data analytics project schedules

Communicating to all stakeholders about any risks, issues and expectations

Directing the ETL team on the data requirements and methods of extracting various data assets

Guiding the ETL team on data modeling and pipelines

Skills/Experience You’ll Need:

Bachelor’s Degree in a relevant discipline (Computer Science, Information Technology, Cyber Security).

Master’s Degree is preferred.

5+ years of experience with the following:

Relational/dimensional databases

Writing complex SQL queries and stored procedures PL/SQL, T-SQL;

Using data integration/ETL tools like SSIS/, Azure Data Factory / Informatica

3+ years of experience with the following:

Project management and mentoring junior staff

BI Visualization Tools like Tableau/Power BI

Programing/scripting skills using ASP.Net languages/Python/Power Shell

2+ years of experience with cloud environments (Azure, AWS)

Experience with data management and data modeling

Strong statistical and data analysis skills

Experience indirectly managing people and building interdepartmental relationships

Strong leadership and communication skills, judgement and decision-making skills

Critical thinking, active listening, coordination, time management skills, and attention to details
