Data Systems Architect

Direct Hire Opportunity

Minnetonka, MN

Our client is looking to hire a Data Systems Architect with at least 10+ years' experience leading technical research and evaluation, system design/documentation and project implementation!

Position Responsibilities:

Experience building technical recommendations based on research

Experience collaborating with leadership, business stakeholders, architecture & engineering teams

Ability to maintain multiple projects at one time.

Identify, analyze and resolve system design weaknesses.

Manage the development of user guides, process flow charts, etc.

Design and Implementation of systems with cloud-based solutions.

Future growth mindset in designs that are robust, highly available, and scalable

Ability to collaborate, educate & mentor engineers on design principles and standards.

Research, design & implement technologies that promote new and improved business process and use of automation.

Position Requirements:

Bachelor's Degree

10+ years of experience in a technical role

5+ years of experience designing and implementing business solutions

Must have GCP cloud services experience: GKE, GCS, Pub/Sub, Stack Driver, Data Flow and Airflow

Experience in enterprise architecture, application architecture, software development, and database design with extra focus on cloud-based infrastructure & system automation

Must be able to communicate with technical and non-technical employees and customers

Object-oriented/object function scripting languages: Python, Java, C++, Scala, etc.

Cloud-based technology experience, including implementation in public and/or private cloud.

Knowledge of Kafka or Google Pub/Sub, stream processing, and highly scalable data stores.

Rational SQL, NoSQL and Columnar databases, including Oracle and MySQL

Container architecture experience with Docker.

Stream-processing systems: Storm, Spark-Streaming, etc.

Experience building CI/CD tools (Jenkins and Spinnaker)

Google BigQuery, Redis and MongoDB experience is preferred

Experience designing and building automation to facilitate scale & efficient maintenance systems is preferred

Linux Administration experience is preferred
